PurposeFull People
This program highlights multiple key character traits students need to be successful and includes social-emotional lessons and activities that correspond with each of those traits. By addressing a particular character trait each month, students are made aware of how demonstrating these characteristics can support a healthier and safer environment for all. The PurposeFULL People curriculum will be integrated into daily Community Circle discussions in the classroom and incorporated into counselor-led guidance lessons. Throughout the year, teachers and staff can nominate students who are seen demonstrating any of the PurposeFULL People character traits.

Back Pack Buddies
One in five southeast Texas children are at-risk of hunger, which means they don’t have consistent access to enough nutritious food. Many of our students rely on school meals to provide breakfast and lunch during the school year. During breaks, such as weekends and holidays, some students go home to little or no meals. The Houston Food Bank’s Backpack Buddy program works to fill that gap by providing nutritious, child-friendly food for school children to take home over the weekend. This school year, our campus is participating in the Backpack Buddies program.
